Sent from My iPhone (2025) is inspired by three sounds associated with sending a message: typing, sending, and receiving.

Today, much of our communication takes place through smartphones, whether by text message or email. Every day we exchange messages, photographs, and videos. When we hear someone typing, we rarely know what the conversation is about, yet behind those familiar sounds often lie personal stories and emotions.

The piece is built around three musical motives derived from these everyday sounds. As the instruments interact, these motives evolve in timbre, texture, and density, suggesting messages being exchanged throughout the ensemble.
